Spent Grain Sourdough
If you've been looking for the best whole grain, naturally leavened sourdough bread you've ever eaten, this may be what your taste buds have been craving.
Our namesake loaf uses spent beer grains that have been toasted and ground into flour to give it a distinctive earthy and nutty sweetness. Different beers use different blends of grain, so each batch of sourdough has a unique aroma and flavor.
The current grain profile includes barley from an Irish Red Ale: flavor notes are malty, granola, toffee, caramel, buttered toast.
Ingredients: malted bread flour* (wheat, barley), water, malted barley flour*, heirloom whole wheat flour*, wheat gluten flour*, salt, cultured dextrose* (preservative).
